Description

At 21 million light years away, M101 hosts the closest supernova we've seen in a decade. Alas, I'm in Connecticut, so opportunities to shoot it are rare. I actually caught the supernova a few nights earlier, but the galaxy itself was invisible through dense Canadian wildfire smoke. On the 26th, I got a much better image, however the galaxy still wasn't great and I basically merged the supernova with some of my earlier data.
